What an amazing day!
Does a dog still (try to) listen when she is deaf? Yes.
Poor old Sally. She can't hear much. Such a good girl!
I think I will seek employment as a floral artist someday.....
Michael's cousins in for dinner tonight. Elk tenderloin, fresh broccoli, tender greens, mixed fruit pie.
Michael enjoyed a delicious birthday dinner of rack of lamb, new potatoes from the garden, green salad, homemade bread, and Addie's cake with Ohio visitors, Laura and Julia Lewis - Bob's lovely wife and daughter. They ran a 13 mile run Saturday morning. Great to spend time together!
The vegetable order came in with a ton of vegies! You want to try this dressing but only if you like cilantro!
Enough for two batches:
1/2 c coarse chopped cilantro
1 1/3 c lime juice (Nellie & Joes key lime is great!)
5 T honey
Pinch salt
Put in Cuisanart adding 2 c good olive oil
Yum!
Ps. This is great stuff. If you don't know about it, you will be thanking me. Good in gin and tonics too!
What a great wilderness overnight pack trip. Everyone got out (except Sally, she's just too old to go) and all did very well. Enjoy the pictures from Randolf camp in the Bridger Teton Wilderness.
I like Gilda. She told you exactly what she thought! In her memory; some delicious dessert.
Pack tripping. Watch for pictures to come. Ps. This is not what pack tripping looks like!
