Cliff Creek Fire Update
The big fire Mike was on is now just about 100% contained. This is a picture of a day where fire was put on the ground so to prevent the burning of structures. A huge backburn was conducted down the Granite Creek drainage to burn the ridge above the private structures (over 30 homes). Done with much thought and care, this burn proved extremely successful. The landscape has changed, for sure, but these folks have their cabins to return to and probably a forest filled with morel mushrooms next spring! Congratulations Fire Crews! Job well done!!
