Our Community

Our community showed up today for COVID testing!  There were cars lined up an hour an a half before 0800 testing began.  Now there are 7 long lines of cars waiting to get tested.  And they keep rolling in!

What will this data tell us?  It will tell us that on this fine day, there will be a certain number of negative results and probably a few positive people who may not even realize they are infected.  It builds a baseline number.  Will this happen again in a couple of months?  Could we use data garnered a couple of months from now to see how the influx of visitors affects a community's health.  Maybe so.

All in all, it is remarkable to live in a place where people are willing to take time out of their day, waiting in long lines, and to endure the process of a long stick getting stuck up into their sinus cavity.  I am bummed there won't be a spot for me as I was kind of looking to see how that all felt.  I will miss the experience!!

I will share out data when it comes in.  This is remarkable.  We are all in awe as we did not expect our community to embrace this opportunity with such a response of individuals!!
