Hunting 2017

The fall has been busy.  Topics re-prioritize our lives in various degrees of importance.  We finally went hunting today.  I have an elk refuge tag.  We saw 32 bulls (they tend to come first to the refuge in large guy-group herds), 9 wolves (really, not kidding), and 68 pronghorn antelope (they need to get out of here!!).  A couple of herds waaaaayyyyy off in the distance were too far to do anything more than watch them through binoculars.  The morning temperature was 17 degrees, but I would guess 12 to 15 up at the refuge.  A mid morning walk was needed to warm our cold toes.

Cosmo and Gus did the work today, both mules fat from standing around doing nothing and eating Mike's hay.  I have one more day tomorrow and will go for an early morning walk before I head to work.

The week before vacation.....much to do!
